I've wanted this Country Road tote for a while now, it's an almost replica of the Acne one that i also want but can't really afford. It's so soft and is great for college since its the perfect size for books and other bits and bobs.
After seeing the stylish fashion packs out in full force yesterday i got very inspired to get myself a new wardrobe. A few pieces that were popular amongst the models and like included Birkenstocks. Who would of thought these ugly things would come back? I guess we can thank Celine for there revival.
I was skeptical of the the trend until i tried a pair on and realised how comfortable they are and you seem to get that instant effortless cool look when you thrown them on.
I got this pair from Lipstik which only cost me $50, i'm thinking I might even go back and get a grey pair.
1- The gloomy weather outside the fashion show at Carriage Works
2- Sneaky shot of some of the gorgeous models backstage.
3- Rachel Rutt being a babe in Alice McCall.
4- My backstage pass
5- Alexandra Agoston only a mere meter from me, i couldn't help but take a photo.
Steaming tea in hand and slightly bleary eyed i was more than ready for my much anticipated fashion week experience working backstage at Alice McCall. I was in charge of dressing models and steaming the odd garment.
I managed to take a few shots of the backstage frenzy even though i wish i could of taken my SLR to get some great shots but since i was busy working i wouldn't have been able to.
I saw quite a few familiar faces in the crowded area of models, photographers and bloggers including Tommy Ton from Jak and Jil, blogger K is for Kani and of course the amazing models Alexandra Agoston and Rachel Rutt (I was having a massive fan girl moment! and yes they were as beautiful as you would think) I also got a chance to see Nicole Warne from Gary Pepper Vintage and one of the Stenmark twins as i was leaving. It was a lot to take in and such an incredible day that i won't forget about anytime soon!
1- Building a collection of Elle Aus mags to be keep me inspired.
2- Beauty goodies; M.A.C lipstick, Chanel nail polish and eyeshadow.
3- Fresh flowers to brighten my desk space
4- More Lush products (I'm a little addicted) I got... 'Rub Rub Rub' salt shower scrub, I used this the other night and absolutely love it! It smells amazing and made my skin so soft. 'Honey I washed the kids' shower gel, this honey scented shower gel smells so sweet and stays on my skin all day. 'Honey I washed the kids' Honey-comb soap which smells very similar to my shower gel. 'Dream cream' hand and body lotion which is really moisturising and smells very fresh and clean. And finally my new favourite... American Cream hair Conditioner which smells like vanilla milkshakes which made my hair so soft and gave it a beautiful shine and volume.
5- A few weeks back i bought these Seed 'Mason' sneakers in an animal print and since i loved them so much i went back for a second pair is this great snake texture. They are a bit more dressy then plain black but are still so versatile.
6- I love dainty fine necklaces and this cute wishbone necklace from Sportsgirl is a perfect addition to my collection. It's great for everyday and hopefully brings me some luck!
7- Getting my favourite pizza in Surry hills while on my lunch break from interning.
8- Day two of interning finished at Alice McCall, I was granted with this beautiful afternoon in Surry Hills while walking to my car.
9- To buy or not to Buy? I tried on this beauty from Shakuhachi when i was at Bondi Junction last weekend and was torn whether to buy it. My birthday is coming up in a few weeks and i'm having a dinner with some of my friends and wanted something nice to wear. I'm thinking i might check out the Zimmermann outlet store before i make the all important decision.
10- My desk space this afternoon, It's pretty rainy and miserable outside so there's nothing better then doing some blogging and a tad bit of online shopping (especially since i need something to wear to fashion week!)
I went to the M.A.C and Chanel counter yesterday to pick up some much needed beauty supplies. I got my favourite lipstick from M.A.C in 'Syrup' which is a beautiful natural blush colour that instantly brightens my pale face. I also got this Chanel nail polish in 'ballerina' (which was a real luxury since i'm supposed to be saving to go overseas..) I haven't tried it yet but i'll let you know how it goes. I also got an eye shadow from Chanel in a natural beige colour which is perfect for everyday use. For other reviews on beauty products and for an all-round fun blog check out my lovely friend Cassie's blog at Wordpress here.
In other news I am helping out next week for MBFA (Mercedes Benz Fashion Week) with Alice McCall where i'm currently interning. I can't wait to be amongst all the excitement of fashion week, I'll make sure to get a few pics to post.
